Breeders Register

The breeders register provided for by the regulations of the purebred dog studbook can be registered by natural and legal persons who in any capacity breed purebred dogs registered in the studbook on the Albanian national territory and who are owners of at least two mares, each of which has produced at least one litter registered in the studbook and born in the last three years.

Registration in the breeders register is requested in writing to the F.K.SH central office by interested parties.

Breeders must include in the application in addition to their personal and tax data, their residence, the location of any breeding facilities, the breed, and the identification of the mares they own at the time of registration.

Breeders who can be registered in the register must:

1. carry out genetic improvement activities following the guidelines established by the genealogical book;
2. refrain from behaviors and actions that may damage the image and organization of the genealogical book;
3. undergo the checks required by the current rules and regulations;
4. register at least two litters produced by two different mares every three years;
5. promptly communicate any changes in their personal and fiscal data;
6. subject their dogs and facilities to the health checks required by current legislation.

At the time of the request, the breeder undertakes to subscribe to the breeder's code of ethics. In the event of infringement of the principles above, in extension to what is provided for by the genealogical book regulation, suspension as an F.K.SH breeder is also foreseen.

It should be noted that the F.K.SH Breeders Register is perceptible of continuous changes as the permanence requirements are verified annually.
