Breeders Register
The breeders' register provided for in art. 2 letter B) of the specifications of the stud book of purebred dogs may be registered by natural and legal persons who in any capacity breed purebred dogs registered in the stud book on the Albanian national territory and who own at least two mares.
Registration in the breeders' register is requested in writing to the Central Office of the Federation Cynologique of Albania (F.K.SH) by interested parties.
Breeders must include in the application, in addition to their personal and tax data, their residence, the location of any breeding facilities, the breed, and the identification of the mares they own at the time of registration.
Breeders who may be registered in the register must:
- carry out genetic improvement activities following the guidelines established by the stud book;
- refrain from behaviors and actions that may cause harm or damage to the image and organization of the stud book;
- undergo the checks required by the rules and regulations of the F.K.SH;
- register at least two litters produced by two different mares every three years;
- promptly communicate any change in their personal and fiscal data;
- subject their dogs and facilities to the health checks required by current legislation.
Upon request, the breeder undertakes to subscribe to the breeder's code of ethics. In the event of infringement of the principles and the code of ethics, the breeder will be immediately subjected to the judgment of the Arbitration Board.
It should be noted that the Breeders' Register is subject to continuous changes as the requirements for permanence are verified annually.
Upon request, it is possible to receive the list of breeders present in Albania for each purebred dog.
